As your new director, I would like to welcome all of you to the 2024-2025 school year and the Discovery Center family! We look forward to building strong, meaningful relationships with our students and families, on this fun and academic journey together! Your trust in us is valued, and we’re eager to ensure that every child at the Discovery Center receives the highest standard of care and education.

You can now access all the forms you need for enrollment or reenrollment; see announcements, special event dates, weekly lunch menus, and learn about our amazing teachers and support staff. Special Events
Ann Arbor’s nationally recognized children’s music duo, Gemini, will be returning to the Discovery Center to play monthly concerts for the children. The first one will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 18th. If you like, you could familiarize your children with Gemini’s music; much of it is up on these streaming’s services:

Our amazing storyteller, Laura, will be sharing stories with us on September 26th. If you’re unfamiliar, Laura has been story-telling at TDC since 1976. She brings imagination to every visit and our students are always thrilled to see her!
Classroom Highlights
This month, we’re highlighting the Red Room. Amparo, Galilea, Tasha, Leni, and Anne have created a classroom environment based on a Harry Potter theme🗲🤓 where children will experience the magic of learning everyday. Students can explore a miniature replica of the Hogwarts Express, see each of their ‘acceptance letters’ come out of a fireplace, and eat snacks and lunches under floating candles (don’t worry, they’re just light up candles).
