The Season of Giving

Happy December, TDC families!

Each year, The Discovery Center collects items for Peace Neighborhood Center’s annual holiday gift and toy drive. We believe this is a great opportunity to teach children about giving to others by picking out items together for those who may be less fortunate. Donations can be made by dropping off items in the boxes under the giving tree in our lobby. Suggested gifts are posted by the tree and on the entrance doors, but any new toys will be accepted. For your convenience, a list has also been posted to Class DoJo. TDC truly appreciates your help in making the giving tree a success!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences are underway! Some classes have started doing conferences and others are waiting until after the busy holiday season. We encourage all parents to sign up for a conference with their classroom teacher to discuss their child’s development and goals for future learning.

Classroom Highlight: Blue Room

This month, we’re featuring the Blue Room team! Jasmine, Alex, Lynn, Melinda, and Anne are focusing on Holidays Around the World during the month of December.

Holiday Break

The Discovery Center will be closed December 23-January 3. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6. We hope you all enjoy this holiday season and make wonderful memories with your family.
